Thailand never failed to amaze me even when it comes to cheap food finds. Bangkok street foods are plenty especially around the city’s shopping district, people from all races come to taste their local cooking and experiencing the best Thai cooking may not be on the fancy restaurants but maybe on the streets of Bangkok.

Thai and Filipino street foods have some similarities and differences. For example, in Bangkok since few are muslims, they serve barbeque pork, hotdogs and even chorizo (but Im not sure how they call it in Thai), they also have cold drinks available. The small difference is their marinade or sauce because Thai likes spicy dressing and sauces compared to Filipino which is sweet.

Perhaps one difference from our country is Thai’s prefer fresh quick cooking street foods like the picture above. On this stall they serve fresh vegetables which is cooked in a prepared stock. It was very hot that day in Bangkok but still many people order this soupy meal and can cost 20BAHT.

One of the best seller is this fried pork. This foodstuff is a bit sweet and costs only 5-10BAHT.

Familiar right? It looks like chorizo but they cook it differenty using their griller in a slanting position. I haven’t seen this way of grilling here in the Philippines. We could learn from Thai and make new trend here in our country.

So you see, you’ll never get hungry in Bangkok.  Lot of cheap foods to try out. From the looks of it, I bet its cleaner than ours and was cooked well.
