After almost 2 hours of journey from Siargao, I arrived at Surigao City and was able to explore the city by foot.

Surigao City is geographically located at the northern tip of Mindanao and considered to be the gateway to Siargao, the surfing capital as well as to the beautiful Dinagat Islands. The city also boasts to have the biggest mangroves in Mindanao and today, it is one of the most prosperous cities in Mindanao.

HOW TO GET HERE:

BY AIR - Air PhilExpress flies direct from Manila and Cebu.

Cebu Pacific Air also flies from Manila and Cebu.

Once you land at Surigao Airport, just take a short walk outside the terminal  to your right and there you will see the Bus Terminal that will take you to Tandag, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro and Davao and multicabs are parked there to take you to the city center.

BY SEA - Several shipping companies dock at Surigao port.

BY LAND - Via Bus or Van  from Butuan City or Cagayan de Oro City.

HOW TO GO TO SIARGAO ISLAND:

Go to Surigao City port and there are 2 regular schedules to Siargao Island.

You can take the 6AM via a barge or the 11AM trip via Fastferry.
