Sky Bridge at the Twin Tower

Monday, August 2nd, 2010

A visit to Kuala Lumpur is not complete without experiencing the skybridge at Malaysia’s most recognized symbol, The Petronas Twin Towers. The Twin Tower is a huge engineering and architectural marvel, its not just an ordinary tower or office building but a masterpiece, something to be proud of for Malaysians.

It was the tallest building in the world until Taipei’s Taipei 101 tower and just recently, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, UAE sprouted out. As early as 6:00am, I travelled on foot from my hostel in Bukit Bintang to the Tower for about 20 minutes. I was amazed to see that almost a hundred people have started to line up already to visit the tower, some even started to que as early as 5:00am. I waited patiently until 9:00am when they start to accept visitors.

Before we were taken up to the skybridge, we had a short video presentation about the history of the hotel. Then, a high speed elevator (1 floor/second speed) took us to the 44th floor.
