Prayer - it works!

After the IELTS Examination, I felt I’m gonna fail the exam especially in the writing part because I knew ahead the criteria on how they examine the essay. I felt really hopeless, depressed and cold right after completing the whole test. As a matter of fact, it seems I lost my faith to God and I didnt believe in miracles anymore. Worst, I abstained from reading the bible for the whole week because of the exam and took a rebellion against God by committing sins. 

My faith was really tested during that period. I realized that what I did was totally wrong, I forgot that I have a big God and he is my father (Psalms 2). I turned back to reading the Bible immediately and was disciplined by God, he told me in 1 Timothy to clearly”EXAMINE YOUR FAITH if it is really geniune”. I was very embarrased before God that my faith was actually shaken by the exam, my faith was wavering because I have doughts on what God can do to me. 

God is indeed faithful to his promise eventhough I was not faithful to him totally. I always read in Psalms the phrase “HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER”. Yes, even for our mistakes God can love us immeasurably. I knew from the bottom of my heart that it wasn’t in my own strenght, knowledge or power to pass my exam but it was all God who worked with me. 

Most of all, eventhough I’m in the midst of spiritual crisis during the IELTS ordeal, I believe that the people sorround me with the help of their prayers to me, interceding while Im on my exam truly helped me alot. 

I’d like to thank my family for their support and ofcourse to my ever beloved Buhangin Community Church family for their tremendous prayers for me. Truly, the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective (JAMES).

please pray for myself and my wife. last year we had a son who died because of cystic fybrosis which was a genetic disease.he was 11 months old. doctors told there was no medicine to cure. we are clueless and very much depressed. because after doing our genetic tests our reports have come normal.we have to plan for new child but we are clueless and very much depressed. our depression has come to extreme stage. as only child of family my family members expect a lot from me. please pray for my decrease of heavy financial debts. i am feeling very much depressed. in my current job my salary is very low so i am not able to save money to pay my financial debts. please pray for myself to become financially powerful and better future. i am very much depressed and dont feel like living please pray for us.

Hi,

I want a prayer request for myself and also to my beloved bf because we want us to pass our examination. I am going to take a Civil Service Examination this coming on May 22, 2011 and my bf is also to take a Nursing Board Examination will be on July. Unfortunately and frankly speaking, I took twice the CS examination and I failed to pass it. What was a ridiculous scenario that moment was I’m not feeling well during the exam because the first I took the CS exam that was year 2008 and I was infected a skin disease which is called Chickenpox. The last I took the exam was year 2010 and I had a stream fever over the week before the exam. It might be happened either pressure or due to climate change? hehehe! Hmmm…may be both. I feel I’m not fortunate one and not blessed like others who can pass the exam. But still I’m craving and striving for success that maybe this time is my moment to shine. Now, I’m knocking of your good heart to please pray for us and please Lord, I am praying and hoping that we can pass the exam with the power of your glory. Amen!
