How to pass the Board exam without Knowledge

 Believe it guys, I passed the board exam without knowledge.

I'm just an ordinary student from a low quality educational institution. A year ago, when I attend the review classes I felt as if I was in another dimension. There were lots of nursing reviewees from the big time schools in Davao like DDC, SPC, Ateneo and Brokenshire.

A review is supposed to be a "review" or a recap from what we have learned from the school however the whole review I attended was for me the first time I heard talking about different kinds of diseases and stuff. I never knew there was such a disease or condition until I attended the review. It just shows that how low we are in terms of knowledge. However, I also give credit to my instructors who really keep up to their job somehow they also helped me fill up my empty brain in the nursing world.

On December 1 and 2 next month, there will be another Board Examination for Nurses. Approximately, there will be around 90, 000 examinees  and somehow 50% of that will be new nurses by early next year adding up to the half million registered nurses in the country.

So, I'd like to share tips on how to pass the board exam without knowledge. A lot of nursing examinees right now are so anxious, its just normal as long as its mild and not severe. First thing to do is just relax now and take a deep breathe. Click on More.

TIPS:

1. PRAY - You really have to pray and ask some divine intervention. As what my mom has been saying, never stop praying. What I prayed for last time was to eliminate the spirit of panic coz when you panic everything will be lost. All your stock knowledge will be gone. Thats memory block. Now, when you have a tough question and you dont know the answer, say to the Lord "Lord, please answer for me".

2. EAT BREAKFAST - Some people say that you'll gonna have upset stomach during the exam. However, I say its a myth coz I never had one. You need lots of energy to sustain you the whole day. The exam is not just mentally contraining but physical as well coz your vital signs will really increase. I even palpitate during the exam and my hand was numb for awhile that I couldn't write on the answer key. Again, relax and pray.

3. TAKE PHARMATON - This is really my vitamin for the exam even during my NCLEX. It contains vitamins and minerals including ginseng to keep you alert all the day. I was never sleepy during the exam. It cost about P20/capsule.

4. PROPER SHADING - A computer will check the answer key and there's really a difference between counting it manually. So you have to practice shading. Just one stroke about 4-5 strokes will do as long as the whole box is shaded. Not to light and too dark or you might make a hole out of your answer key. If you have sweaty palms just like me, I reccommend that you bring with you a small towel.

5. AVOID ERASURES - As much as possible avoid erasures, if you do use STEDLER ERASER. Its great for erasing coz its not messy.

6. GROUP YOUR ANSWER - In one general situation, there are about 5 subquestions. So what I did was to group my answers according to the main situation and later transfer them to the answer key. That eliminates any unanswered number.

7.USE CHINESE METHOL STICK - This is so good if you are sleepy. You'll apply it on your face just beside the eyes and you'll never sleep away. I tell you. Find out why try it for your self. Haha. Its available at Century Chinese Drugstore at SM. 

8. TRADITIONAL WAY - This is so funny coz I dont believe on this but it wont hurt if you give it a try.

        -Wear Something RED - this is lucky charm daw according to Fengshui, but please dont wear red bra's and underwear its an eye sore. A red hanky is enough. :-)

9. STAY IN A HOTEL - I stayed at Apo View Hotel for 2 days to make me relax during the exam with all buffet meals!

he he. you’re just too humble. the computer won’t make your wrong answers right. that you passed simply means you knew what was asked for, and that was considered enough knowledge to make you a nurse.

btw, you want to go to the US? be careful what you wish for. it might just come true. soon. :-)

sa lahat ng sinabi mo, the only one that helped me a lot was number one. hahaha!!!

I never did study for my local board… Pero I should study talaga for my NCLEX exam… Hopefully I can pass it…

One thing I could say abt this exams.. You don’t need to bum yourself over and over again by just reviewing facts just by taking chance of exam..

It is a reason for you to know because you study and learned the knowledge. Review makes yew feel better lang, to enhance and practice the state of mind.. but if your just relying to it, nothing good will come to yew. Sasakit lang ulo mo.. :)

And yes, you’re just too humble. :P

prayer is important. some people rely too much on their knowledge only to blank out in their seats during the exam.

im taking the boards this nov 29, hey dude , i think ur smart talaga na even though u didnt study much, u passed. AKo kasi i dont have photographic memory, yet i cant keep up with the review thing, i just want to get this over with and go on with my life, i’ve waited so long 4 dis. i’d be taking a brush up review in dapitan for 20 days, would that be enough? I don’t know but i really dont want to review match, we had in house reviews in school so i guess dats enuf..i really get anxious whenever i see some of my batchmates relly studying hard. email me at hateyouback@yahoo.com really need ur help haha

You dont need to be really smart to pass the exam. :-) but if your aiming to be on top, you have to study well. 1 month before my board, i was also very anxious, sometimes I cried. I didnt cry for the money wasted but I want to make my family proud of me lang. heeh so Just relax now and take a deep breath. just pray lang po.

for me I don’t recommend just praying , you must study hard in the same way and in that you’ll have a greater chance to pass. In the NCLEX do you think you can pass by praying ?

i think ur wrong.

u passed because u have the knowledge to make right decisions.

Board exams are trials…
wether u cud make right decisions on the right time on the right place and on the right circumstances.

its not luck that u passed

but rather its ur knowledge on the field that made u chose the right answers on the questions that day.

ur experiences on the past 4 years on nursing
and the review itself

are example’s
of the
factors that made u passed the board exam

i will also be taking board exam on july 3,4 and I hope that all of u guys hu are reading this blog will help us pray to pass the board exam.

one more comment i think ur blog helped a lot of peaple on the last 1 1/2 year that passed..
