How to pass the Board exam without Knowledge

 Believe it guys, I passed the board exam without knowledge.

I'm just an ordinary student from a low quality educational institution. A year ago, when I attend the review classes I felt as if I was in another dimension. There were lots of nursing reviewees from the big time schools in Davao like DDC, SPC, Ateneo and Brokenshire.

A review is supposed to be a "review" or a recap from what we have learned from the school however the whole review I attended was for me the first time I heard talking about different kinds of diseases and stuff. I never knew there was such a disease or condition until I attended the review. It just shows that how low we are in terms of knowledge. However, I also give credit to my instructors who really keep up to their job somehow they also helped me fill up my empty brain in the nursing world.

On December 1 and 2 next month, there will be another Board Examination for Nurses. Approximately, there will be around 90, 000 examinees  and somehow 50% of that will be new nurses by early next year adding up to the half million registered nurses in the country.

BDAY Wishlist

My natal day will be next month and geez Im turning 23 years old.  This time I'll not celebrate my bday with a party but instead I'll ask my mom to buy me some of the things I listed below hopefully. If only I had a job, I could buy these by myself or perhaps a generous Santa reader will grant me this since my bday is just week for Christmas or it could be you who wants to surprise me! Great! hahaha.  

Here's my Bday Wishlist.

1. BOXING GLOVES - I really want to learn boxing. Since I enrolled once again at Smashville Fitness, I wanna learn boxing. There was this lady about early 20's, she box so well, it made me feel so ashamed of myself. heheh.

2. BADMINTON RACKET - I wanna get active this time coz I have no work and Im so bored at my boarding house. Looking for someone to play with me here in Davao. Lets get physical! Im not really good though but I want to sweat it out. 

3. MET - This is the Gluthatione brand which was featured twice at Rated K at ABS-CBN. This product must be really effective. I  want to have lighter skin, no matter how I rub my skin off with whitening lotion, still nothing works.

Professional Tambay

Its really difficult to find a job now especially for us new nurses. I graduated my bachelors degree more than a year ago or May 2006 and earned my license as a registered nurse last January 2007. They say that the Philippines has a nursing shortage, its true that some hospitals really have shortage but the problem is that they don't hire nurses perhaps due to cost cutting measures in sacrifice of the patients seeking quality health care. By early next year, 30,000 are expected to be new nurses in the country, welcome to the world of unemployed. 

As of now, I still don't have work. Luckily I was able to complete and passed all my exams, NCLEX and IELTS and my training at Davao Medical Center. Mahirap na maging tambay. I lodged my application at Davao Doctors Hospital and for a training program at Brokenshire Hospital and both hospitals did not call me for any appointment. I even tried to follow up my application and they replied to wait for their text message only to find out that some of the newer applicants got the job while me I applied 6 months ago still insist to wait for their text. It hurts and its really unfair. I really wanted to serve pa naman the sick and the well, taking about Hendersons Theory. hehe. 

I was thinking that there might be something wrong with my resume or my cover letter.  As of now, I lost my hope at Davao Doctors and Brokenshire that they would accept me. Some said that those hospitals prioritize their own products from their nursing school. Well, I am just a graduate of a non-popular school in North Cotabato. My last hope is my application at Davao Medical Center which I lodge last September 2007 and hopefully by the end of this month I will receive a call from them. By that time, the so called Employment ban due to the recent Baranggay elections will be over and the hiring opportunities continues. Oh Lord. Help me. 

Naawa na ako sa Mom ko coz I'm still so dependent financially. Like every week, I ask from some money for my expenses here in Davao. Supposedly, I should have a work by now. If there's any opportunity like for Saudi Arabia I would grab it but another problem is where do I get the experience.
